WMD 5036 Electrofishing Backpack is a cost conscious way of purchasing all the equipment related to the electrofishing backpacks that you would like. The system is based around the principles of small form factor and lightweight, since both are the most significant factors in operator fatigue. The 5036 control box weighs just 2.09kg !! Making it the lightest and smallest backpack currently available worldwide (see our upcoming 3012 and 3024 models for even further advancements).  even with a full harness the backpack weighs 2.7kg!!  The feature rich system of the 5324 backpack provides ease of setup and adjustment via mobile phone access to a range of options, voltages, burst functions, slots, upgrades and much more as well as cool new features not normally seen on an electrofishing backpack. What’s more, this backpack control system can be adjusted by the operator while wearing it without the need of an assistant to make the adjustments for them as all other backpacks have to do. The menu system even has a quick start guide built in so you can double check whilst out on site. Both tilt and G-shock sensor functions to provide additional protection against falls are fitted as standard. The 5036 is capable of providing 500w (continuous) output.
Optional ‘Packs’ are also available to upgrade your electrofishing backpack even further:
–‘Pro Fish Settings Pack’ allows user select from a wider menu of further advanced fishing settings such as burst functions and burst shape etc.
–‘Tilt & Fall Pack’ allows experienced operators to self select their desired tilt angle trip from a wider selection of angles and also the degree of G-shock to fine tune the drop or fall function.
–‘Data Pack’ provides data logging of fishing settings
–‘Data Pack’ provides data logging of GPS, water temperature, fishing settings during surveys during surveys, etc for later reporting or analysis
–‘GPS Pack’ adds GPS monitoring and logging during surveys, useful for mapping and reporting
–‘Dual User + Anode Pack’ adds in capability to fish with 2 anodes from the same backpack.

The accompanying backpack vest (available in the check box options) is also super lightweight at <700g and the high power density battery system in lightweight packs weigh from just 1.136kg for a pair!! Most other backpack battery systems weigh from 3.2kg upwards. Want more power? No worries, we’ve got you covered for that too. Typical backpacks provide around 168w of available battery power. WMD battery systems range from 108-540W !!! That’s up to 321% more power for 60% less weight.
Our range of backpack anodes (available in the check box options) are designed to be lightweight and low profile to reduce water flow and weed entertainment whilst surveying. This in turn reduces operator fatigue and enhances efficiency. BuzzBat anodes come with integrated arm brace and the illuminated thumb switch is comfortable and provides operator indication when the anode is active. Coupled with our unique aerospace alloy anode rings helps in getting the most out of your system. Anode and Cathode connectors are non-conductive, adding to a safer experience and the locking ring ensures they stay in place. The intelligent system self identifies whether an anode is in the correct port and if a cathode is connected incorrectly.
