Description
Ideal for confined or very restricted spaces where animal monitoring is not normally possible and construction of conventional antennae is either prohibitive or undesirable due to monitoring duration. The Torpedo antenna can be easily installed almost anywhere and provide a cone like detection orientation. Unlike the Confined space antennae, the Torpedo antennae are normally installed where a cone like beam is desired in order to best detect tags. Examples of this are inside burrows (terrestrial), lowered into pump sumps, hydroelectric installations, Fish pass slots etc. Can also be used inside eel pass tubing or enclosed bristle eel passes. IP69k rated and successfully used in up to 70m water depth. Pre-tuned antenna NO TUNING UNIT REQUIRED.
Available in 15cm length only. Can be affixed using pipe clips or saddles.

– Glanded format (G) complete with cable strain relief gland and 10m of cable. Typical read range up to 300mm.
– High Power Detachable format (HPD) with extended, increased read range, up to 420mm. Choice of detachable HP_MTU cables (sold separately)
