WMD+ EVDT tags are a combination of visual identification tag via code numbers on the tag surface and RFID tag. Visual identification is ideal where citizen science or general public participation on the wider reporting aims of the project are desirable.  In RFID mode, they are very high performing tags with exceptional read ranges, detected and read either passively (antennae), or actively (handheld scanners). This allows monitoring a variety of factors including site faithfulness, migration, habitat selection, habitat preferences spawning locations etc.

Typically used on lobsters, crabs and crawfish (via cable tag attachments or adhesive fixing), skates and rays (via streamer attachments), shellfish (via adhesive fixing)

WMD+ EVDiT Disc tags are an affordable multi method of identification tracking and reporting animal or product movements.  EVDiT Disc tags are a combination of visual identification tag, via identifying code numbers on the tags surface and RFID tag. In RFID mode, they are detected and read either passively via WMD antennae and reader systems, or actively via handheld scanners or mobile smart phones (depending upon protocol of tag). This makes them some of the most versatile tags available and permits active participation in reporting by citizen scientists or the wider general public. Such engagement is valuable in mark repcature projects. Typical uses include individual movements (activity), habitat preferences, site faithfulness, migration, spawning migrations and locations, evaluation of fishing gear, etc. Typical animal uses include crustaceans, shellfish, elasmobranchs, etc
