Description
WMD+ EVDT tags are a combination of visual identification tag, via code numbers on the tag surface and RFID tag. In RFID mode, they are very high performing tags with exceptional read ranges, detected and read either passively (antennae) or actively (handheld scanners). They can be detected at >1.5m read ranges using our Loop Antennae and work well in the marine environment too. EVDT tags ensure consistent and long range detection’s while enabling anti-collision technology to minimize tag clashes. This is an enhancement over generic HDX tags. The EVDT tag is an encapsulated tag that has been tested in the marine environment in depths >70m. Typical uses include individual movements (activity), habitat preferences, site faithfulness, migration, spawning migrations and locations, evaluation of fishing gear, etc. Typical animal uses include lobster, crawfish, crab, scallop, skate, ray, etc
These Custom tags have been made to stand up to harsh environments and are suitable for a wide range of applications from terrestrial monitoring to fish and shellfish. EVDT tags are also used on products for tracking and production tracing purposes.
