Description
The HDX Mobile Reader is specifically designed to work with all our Walker Wands, WMD Walker Wand 125/24 & WMD Walker Wand 125/20, Wand and Torch antennae, Confined Space and Submersible Handheld antennae. As such, the Mobile reader becomes a versatile and adaptable system for interrogating pit tagged animals, fish, crustaceans, bats, birds and insects. They are manufactured in integrated weather resistant enclosures for immediate deployment. The reader can be configured to either High or Eco/battery saver power (dependent upon whether tag read range or extended battery life [such as in remote areas] is most desired). Complete with data logging and removable storage medium, the Mobile reader is capable of significant data storage with ease of access via removable USB. The reader is a feature rich, ISO11784/85 compatible unit. When coupled with the on-boom flasher information unit this provides information on the operator boom for visual detection /confirmation at time of tag detection either via the LEDs (RFID Remote Tag Indicator Submersible[IP67]) or LEDs plus buzzer (RFID Remote Tag Indicator and Sounder [IP5X]). Our Mobile readers feature integrated battery slot for remote portable powering of the Mobile reader independent of external power sources as well as a visual tag detection LED, exciter LED and LCD information screen. The information screen has a variety of functions: supply voltage, current draw, tag ID, time elapsed since last tag detection, current tag detection and tag code, number of detection’s per tag etc

The Mobile reader can use conventional SLA batteries for an economy option or lighter, higher power density, WMD Ultra (LiFePO) batteries.
